“This boutique hotel and bed and breakfast is a total gem! Since there are only 9 rooms, the entire stay feels incredibly personal. We visited for a birthday trip and were blown away by the hospitality. The manager, Cheryl, and the owner/bartender, Chris, were so welcoming and really made our celebration special. The area is super walkable, too. If you’re looking for a unique, intimate B&B with great energy, this is it. We’ll definitely be back!”

“My girlfriend and I are in our early twenties and came to Denver hoping to experience as much of the area as we could, from skiing and hiking to exploring the city’s food scene. Staying at the Patterson Inn turned out to be the perfect choice for that kind of trip. We stayed in the “da Vinci” suite, which was large, comfortable, and beautifully designed with artwork and vintage furniture that have clearly been preserved with great care. The room also has patio access, which made the mornings especially enjoyable since you can step outside and take in the quiet atmosphere before heading out for the day. The entire property has a refined character; both our room and common areas carry a classy, upscale ambiance while still offering modern amenities and comfort. One of the things that sets the inn apart from traditional hotels is the breakfast. Each morning there are thoughtful, made to order options that can accommodate whatever appetite you might have, which adds a very personal touch to the stay. The staff are attentive and welcoming, and the owner, Chris, is very charismatic and hospitable, and clearly someone who is always looking for ways to improve the guest experience. He shared a few great travel tips that helped make parts of our trip run a little more smoothly. The location is ideal for anyone wanting to explore all that Denver has to offer. The inn is within walking distance of Capitol Hill along with several great restaurants and bars, and places like Union Station. At the same time, it is well positioned for exploring the surrounding region, making it easy to visit places such as Boulder or Colorado Springs, as well as travel to and from Denver International Airport. Parking near the inn is convenient, and if you feel like staying in for the evening you can enjoy a craft cocktail at the 12 Spirits Tavern attached to the property. If you are looking for a comfortable and classy place to stay with excellent breakfast, hospitable staff, great drinks, and a location that makes it easy to experience both the city and the mountains, the Patterson Inn is an outstanding place to stay.”

“This place is great! Me and my girlfriend have stayed here 2 different times. We love the history of this place and all the stories it has as well as it being in a great location with Charlie Browns being down the block to eat at. Chris the owner was a great person to talk to in the bar, he would answer any questions you had, or he’d just plain out talk about whatever and anything and really get into it! For an owner he’s not what I expected which is a good thing! If you can’t get along with him or you don’t like him, it says more about the other person than it does about him. It would be incredibly hard to dislike this guy! I think we’ve had both chefs the recent one we had was Brandon and (apologies I forgot the other chefs name.) but I recall the first time and this time we both ate breakfast here we basically cleaned the plate completely off, they have sweet and savory options each morning and they’ve never disappointed! For any crazy experiences we didn’t really have anything crazy aside from just old house noises, we did go up to the third story tower with a spirit box and it stopped flipping thru channels and started playing No Sleep Till Brooklyn by Beastie Boys clear as day which we couldn’t help but laugh. I’m more of a grunge guy myself but don’t discriminate whatever somebody (or something.) likes to listen to so hell yeah brother . Edit- To add to this 12 Spirits Tavern is a great quiet bar attached to the hotel that is open to the public, if you want to get a drink and have a relaxed atmosphere. Loved hanging out in there!”

“We stayed at the Patterson in Denver this weekend, and it was nothing short of exceptional. The castle‑like architecture and sandstone exterior make the entire property feel elegant and historic from the moment you arrive. Chris, the owner, prepared an incredible breakfast, shared stories about the mansion’s history, and made the experience feel personal and memorable. The staff treated us as if we were the only guests in the building, and the way breakfast is scheduled gives you the rare feeling of having the entire castle to yourself. We will absolutely be staying here again.”

“Wonderful stay at Patterson Inn in Denver. Breakfast was lovely each morning and Chris is a great host. The staff was friendly, welcoming and helpful. Very clean and comfortable. The historic building is enough to bring you back, but the people that work there and maintain it, are what makes you want to return time after time.”
